Here is the info from my about page 🙂

I have been shooting weddings since 2006. I have always loved photography and when I was 18 years old I started out by carrying my dad’s camera bag to weddings. That progressed into becoming his second shooter and studio assistant. It was the greatest learning experience and not to mention an absolute blast! After working for him for 5 years I set out and created Visual Poetry! It has been quite an exciting journey! I specialize in photographing joyful and adventurous couples that are head over heels in love! I love everything about weddings!! It is my desire to deliver timeless images to my clients, photographs that they will look at and share with others for many years to come.

On June 1, 2012 I married my high school sweetheart, Ryan. I must say, I am quite smitten with my bearded stud!! We live in southern Denver with our sweet dog Gizmo and the newest arrival to our family, Adeline Grace! We welcomed her into the world on January 30, 2016 and could not be more in love!!! Being a mom is seriously the BEST gift ever. Being a bride and planning my own wedding has given me an incredibly helpful insight to the true importance of a wedding day. I understand the amount of time and heart that goes into each and every decision for this one very special day. It is my goal to capture all of the most precious and sometimes unseen moments of a wedding day, but most of all I want to serve my clients in any way I can! I am a Colorado native and absolutely love living in such an incredibly beautiful place! I have shot hundreds of weddings in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains and I can’t seem to get enough of it!

I have an unquenchable case of wanderlust! When I am not on wanderlust! When I am not on a trip, I am thinking and planning of where to go next! Chasing adventure and traveling all over this gorgeous world fuels my soul! I have been to 10 different countries in the last two years and plan to visit 7 more this year! I can’’t seem to stop myself! I find joy in the simple yet magical moments in what some may see as ordinary. I am inspired by… Jesus, photo adventures, tea parties, Disney, reading, coffee, painting, movies, bookstores, sunsets, fall colors, and the ocean. A few guilty pleasures… country music, the color green, nail polish and chocolate chip cookies with milk. Someday I wold love to shoot a wedding in Paris!! I love Jesus and I thank Him everyday for blessing me with such an incredibly amazing business! I get to do what I do love! It doesn’t get much better than that!

Great advice from Meghan:

When planning your wedding it’s really important to do what is true to your and your future spouse. It can easy to get wrapped up in the drama of wedding planning and trying to appease everyone… Try to keep the bigger picture in mind. That at the end of the day… rain or shine… whether everything goes perfect or not… YOU WILL BE MARRIED! 🙂

“I love how creative I get to be! Being able to document love stories is incredible.”

Meghan’s favorite wedding memory:

Oh man.. I have shot hundreds of weddings over the last 11 years and it’s hard to recall, BUT a few of my favorite parts of most weddings are when the couples sees each other for the first time, the toasts, and overall just the raw emotion throughout the day!
